Lon Sambo's Story

After took the cow to the field I always go to find the firewood, cut the pin, and some time I go to find the crab and fish the best is in raining season. And I never go to school, because my grandmother didn’t have enough money for me to study.

One day papa Sokha went to my village. He went there to interview the children to come to live in CCH. When I knew that, I went to ask my grandmother to come to live in CCH. And she was not deny about this. Then I went there agian and papa Sokha had asked me some questions about my family and took some pictures of me and my family. After a week papa Sokha came to my village again and brought me to CCH.

My life in CCH

When I first came to CCH I was very surprise, because it was my first time in Phnom Penh and it was my first time to live in a big family. There is many things that I have got since I came to CCH such as food, clothes, friends, high education and every things that I need for my living annuity. On the other hand had learnt many things from CCH like general education, society and especially I have learnt how to live with others. CCH have changed me from a small kid with non-education to be a educate person, and be a leader by leading the small kids, correct thier attitude, teach them and share them of what I have gotten.

CCH also taught me to help the society by doing Road Show. Road Show is a program that we always go to a poor community very Sunday. In this program we perform the Khmer traditional drances, and a role play that is talked about child right, child trafficking, drugs, etc... After role play we also ask the children about the role play and child rights, to make sure that they got or understood about child rights. And if they can answer the questions they will get a small present like books, pencils and a small snack. Other way we also teach the children to read the books, how to draw and how to make animals from the origami.

I am very happy to be in CCH. CCH have changed me from a kids with nothing to have a bright future. And when I finished school I want to become a doctor. And I will help CCH by teach the young generation, help CCH with my ability to run CCH and to make CCH sustainable. Because of that CCH will can help the other young generation that are needed help like me.

And especially I would like to say thank you so much to papa Sokha, mom Dany and all CCH staffs that always look after us and take care of us.
