Tesco’s Conway proves ‘every little helps’ with marathon challenge
Tesco event manager, Kate Conway has completed a gruelling charity challenge which saw her run 12 half marathons in 12 months.

Conway started in January with a half marathon at Disneyland in Florida, this was followed by races in England, Scotland, Wales, Iceland and Malaysia. Her final run took place yesterday (4 December) at Angkor Wat in Cambodia. In total she has run for 41 hours and covered 157 miles. “This was easily the most interesting race I have done with lots to see including monkeys, elephants, monks and, of course the temples themselves,” she said. “And we arrived just in time to see the sun rise over Angkor Wat. A big thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this year; I don’t think I’ll have another one quite like it!”
Conway hopes to raise £5,000 for Cambodia's Children, a charity that cares for children who were garbage pickers on the municipal waste dump in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. So far she has collected £3,544 and Tesco has pledged to boost all donations by 20 per cent.
